What is your very first watch?
« on: June 07, 2015, 03:51:40 PM »
I'm wondering whether you all still keep your very first watch?

Here is mine - boy size Comet manual wind, gift from my late father back in 1978.

The backcase. Interesting to see that it is not water proof but dust proof  ;D.

Silver-dial Citizen Automatic boy-size (with eagle logo IIRC) with stainless steel bracelet. My Dad was a watchsmith, so he chose for me a considerably good watch from his shop (bearing in mind that I was only in primary school then). I don't know about watches then, and I remembered being so envious of the boys with their RM10 Casio digital watches, as they laughed about my "old man watch". Watch was stolen some years after. I missed that watch :HammerHead:

My very first watch was a 'Cadet' brand boy sized.

I remember looking at the hand under the blanket at night as it glowed in the dark. This would have been around 1977-78. I lived in Johor Baru and the watch was purchased across the causeway in Woodlands..long gone now.

This is my first automatic watch:

I remember how amaze I was when the crown can be pushed to change the "day" instead of rotating it
