Rolex Pepsi (to Upgrade or not is the Q)
« on: December 07, 2018, 07:48:51 AM »
Hi Guys,

So it is "infamously" known that the new GmtII Ceramic Pepsi with Jubilee strap is all over craze now that grey market is hiking it at double the retail price. I for one am a Pepsi lover, i own a pre-ceramic Z 2006 version, when the ceramic version came out im like all over heels, but never have the chance to even see it in person at AD no chance.

Just trying to get some opinions, if only need to choose one, would you spend the extra $$ towards a ceramic version?

And does anyone have a rough idea how much a pre-ceramic complete pepsi would fetch these days?
Or perhaps anyone can recommend me a reputable store in KL that takes in pre-owned rolex so i can gauge how much of extras i need to fork out Aha, might need to pawn 2 rolexes for it *sigh*

Any advise appreciated guys!

Thanks

I would suggest to wait a little bit longer.
For Ceramic Pepsi with Jubilee bracelet, price from grey markets is decreasing.
A few months back, it price 78k-82k, and now is about 68k-72k.
I believe the hype will over and the price from secondary market will drop further.

I personally agree with waiting as the price will definitely drop further. Unless you really can't wait and want it now.

i would think it is wise to wait. I would not bother to spend extra on the ceramic version.

If you got $$ to burn, why not ? Otherwise wait for the premium on the Pepsi to drop further ... a fair level would probably be a bit more than a Batman.

No.  :Blue: sometimes grey market price too strong difficult to wait for price drop. I waited for Patek Nautilus to drop but now a whopping RM200+k price tag from around rm75k 4 years back.

Like they say; the next run where we can buy retail prices of lux watches is the next economic crisis  :D

True, during the very serious 1997 economic crisis I got a Rolex Daytona for RM18,000 in Jakarta.

It would be great if you are able to get retail price for any of the new rolex sports watch. Anything higher or double the retail is too over.

I suggest to wait as although Pepsi is a hot model it isn't as hot as daytona atm so grey market will definitely continue to drop as it slowly cools down.

Price for Rolex Pepsi is really firm,  nor it has increased nor decreased in Grey market at least not yet but chances are high that it might drop this year.

I'd rather take time to save more money to get the new Pepsi instead of selling current watches away. No regrets  :)
