Do you mind to get a used one? Or only prefer a new one? As for the new one, there’s not much you can choose with the 5k budget.

RM 5k budget probably can get u the below Swiss made watches:
1. Epos or Ball for new watch.
2. Rolex or Omega for preowned watch.

With the state of our current Forex these days, most of the Swiss watches had seen price increases. With a RM5k budget, I believe that entry-level brands like Oris would make a good proposition, and do remember to negotiate as Oris gives good discounts.

Rolex | Omega | Bell & Ross | Panerai | Seiko | G-Shock |

Just saw Mido new model is very nice.

Maybe its new Head of Products is Philippe Antille. He was Ball watch CTO during 2008 to 2015 and before that he was Rolex engineer.

I would go for a preowned Longines Legend Diver, perhaps I could get one from the range between RM4500 to RM5000 in good condition with fullset. LLD resembles their vintage design with long history dated back in 1957. Read here http://bit.ly/2BNBqOt for more info. Let us know what do you get at the end !

Going for pre-owned would make the RM5K  go further. Can consider a pre-owned Nomos Tangente or Club. Longines Legend Diver (no date) is a classic too.

Great choice..
Btw there's two model of hydroconquest, applied indices with polished central bracelet, or arabic numerals with full brushed bracelet?

If you have not gotten the longines, will you consider Baltic 001 Bicompax? That watch looks like a 1940s Longines chronograph.

For budget RM5k below, there are few brand you can refer to. Tissot and Oris.
For Oris, I prefer Oris Artix Day Date or Diving ed. Its a good watch
