My first ever automatic watch
« on: January 13, 2016, 08:27:22 PM »
Title says it all. First ever automatic. And love it. So the story goes ..

I have a friend who owns a number of AP's, one of which was the Royal Offshore but with black face (if I get the terminology wrong, it's cos I'm still a noob at watches haha). I more or less loved in from the day I saw it, and thus the shopping started.

I looked at prices in Malaysia and in Singapore. I went to the Sg boutique 4 times, each time trying on the same one with the white face. The others just didn't 'jump' at me. But with our currency fluctuation, I ended on another trip to Bangkok a few weeks later and bought it there.

I wear it everyday and it just grows and grows on me. Love it so much and hopefully more to come in the future.

Congrats!

Why don't you write a review on your whole journey from the interest, selection process or etc. that would make this thread more interesting.

I can still remember my first automatic watch was a Seiko and it was lost in my oversea trips to China. I have leave it in the hotel and only realized after I reached airport.  :HammerHead:

Luckily it was not an expensive Seiko or GS. If it is an AP, sure I will cancel my flight without second thought...

I edited my original post with a bit more of a storyline but I'm not so good at telling stories haha. I'll write up a little later again
