Finally, I found a chart clearly stating SS is harder than Ti

Hi Bro, do you know what is the hv for Ceramic case? Are the different ceramic case for Rado, Panerai or IWC have a different hardness?

What I heard also the honey gold created by A Lange & sohne alos is harder than the normal gold alloy. Any comment?

I dunno bro. Ceramic to me is tanah liat :) 1 thing I do know is dun drop it. In terms of expertise, I think Rado has a lot of R&D done on ceramic. I am not saying Rado has the best quality. the casings they produced are very different from those of IWC and Pam which are very dull compared to glossy ones.

No comment on gold casing too. 1 thing for sure, the harder the gold casing, the less the casing contains :)

Regardless whether the watch is made of titanium or ceramic, the watch will never ever be 100% scratch-proof. Any advertisement you read claiming the Ti or ceramic watch being 100% scratch proof is untrue....to prove my point, try rubbing the Ti / ceramic watch against any marble or cement floor using your foot (like as though you are cleaning your shoes on a mat). Don't try this with an expensive watch, you'll definitely regret it.  ;D

I dun think anyone advertise Ti as scratch proof unless you are referring to Duratec from Citizen and Brigthz from Seiko. These vendor mixed Ti with Carbon to increase the base metal hardness.

Again, I have no comment on ceramic other than it is light to hold in my hand.
