In January our little forum here will be turning a year old. It's been a good year as we saw the membership growing as 2009 progressed. No doubt our community is still in its infancy and there's still lots of room for improvement. Nevertheless I'm confident that 2010 will see MWF continue to grow in strength.
Throughout the year we've had a few mini GTGs where a few regular members met to share our common interest. Now the 1st anniversary of MWF will be a good time for more members to meet each other face to face and to foster camaraderie amongst the MWF community.
Hence I'm proposing a
GTG on 16th January 2010 in KL. It'll be an evening event but the exact time and place will be decided later.
We'll find a nice peaceful place for dinner and to talk watches. A "show and tell" session is being planned where members can choose to show their more unique, unusual, rare, vintage timepieces to the community so that we can all improve our horological knowledge.
We'll also discuss more about the proposed MWF project watch and hopefully we can get more feedback from the community so that we can really move forward with this project.
For now let's have a show of hands to gauge the response to this event. I'm personally looking forward to meeting all of you, especially our members from outstation and overseas.
