I am planning to sell my Longines at Chrono24, is it safe? What if the buyer say I sent him/her a fake watch?
-
Should be safe, did you read their policy?

Should be safe, given their policy, establishment, and volume etc.. just that personally i still prefer COD and online direct transfer..

First time selling my watch in Chrono24 and managed to get it sell within 1 month plus.
Just be vigilant with who your buyer, select your comfortable payment method and importantly only ship after fund credit into your account.
I opt for premium ad and bank wire option
Good luck

I tried to sell in Chrono24 before and inquired about their escrow service, but unfortunately only available in EU, USA, Australia, Canada and Switzerland. I think escrow service is the best way for both buyer and seller.

I think is very safe, chrono 24 will protect buyer and seller, but commission very high
-
ITs safe. Commission is high tho. Use PayPal

Its like insurance, it feels like money wasted if nothing bad happens, but when it does.......

I also plan to sell my watch. Its a IWC 3741 fliegerchronograph. Anyone with experience selling their expensive watch over there?
-
How to sell watch at chrono24? I like to know, can give me some opinion?
-
I think it should be safe.
Why don't you try selling it here in the Used Watch section.

I would advise exercising great caution in trading valuable items online - check on the reputation/reviews of the buyer (or seller) on Chrono24. From personal experience, 3 years ago, I wanted to buy an AP ROO and found an advertised new piece at a very reasonable price from a shop in Mayfair, London. We corresponded via email and confirmed the price and they stated the watch was available and in stock at their shop - but my intention was to personally buy the watch at the shop as I was going to the UK in a week's time. When I informed the shop I preferred to buy the watch at the shop than via shipping, they no longer replied to my email. Nonetheless, when I arrived in London, I visited the address of the shop thinking I should still be able to buy the watch - but they said they would have to order the watch and it would take 2 weeks to arrive. As my trip was only for 7 days, it meant they would have to ship. As I have family in London, I instructed the shop to call them when the watch arrives and placed a deposit. In summary, the watch never arrived and it took my family member almost 6 months of waiting and then chasing for a refund the deposit. So, it is advisable to buy or sell in person.

I sold a couple of watches on Chrono24 in the past, I never had a problem :)

My friend had sold few watches on Chrono24.
Never had a problem.

What about the shipping after the deal is done? Any words of advice when it comes to shipping our watches if buyer is from overseas?

I agree with the above. I've had good luck selling on Chrono24 but you also have to do your homework on the buyer as well as familiarize yourself with the policies and rules of Chrono24. Good luck with your sale!

Should be safe. Not familiar with the site but does it option like meet up or cod for buyer and seller? If yes, it's a better and safe option for both party. Less argument when trade..
-
Im also interested to know about shipping to overseas buyers after the deal is done. Whats the process like?
-
Chrono24 is relatively safe yes. The only thing I would be aware of is if you're flipping watches (esp Rolex) on that website. As there's been numerous cases of the Rolex AD then being informed and the person internally blacklisted.
-
it's safe...the only concern is too high commission to pay
-
Maybe try a local reseller too - Chrono’s commision is high and might fetch you the same price. Less hassle if you sell to a reseller straight.

I'd like to know too. For those of you with experience, how do you go about shipping, insuring and managing customs issues (if any)?
