My 1st outdoor shooting
« on: May 30, 2011, 08:01:26 PM »
My 1st time attending photo shoot.
Complete newbie and saw everyone with damn alot of gear, here i am with only a single 35mm all the way! :Dancing_banana:
Shoot ALL in aperture priority mode cause i dont know any other way for now  :P
Only edit is crop, resize and adjust some brightness and contras. Thats all i know for now  :Laughing_on_floor:

Please comment and i will try to improve next time.

Still have to experiment with some other angles.

Tried to ask this model dont smile too much for different feel but she cant most of the time LOL.

Ya true, that day sun all over the place hard to find place which is balanced.

Also didnt use flash at all.

Reflector provided when used make the face look very "fake".

Yeah! make up is very important in portrait shooting like this one... one of my friend (serious photographer) attending make-up class too ;)

My 2 fav out of the bunch is No.14/20.

I do agree that the makeup abit heavy, actually in person look even more heavy. I think thats the typical style of makeup nowdays.

If have chance to shoot her again will ask her to have much lighter makeup.

Takashi, try not to edit the photo and put it up, cause there is where the real deal is, photo editing will definitely enhance the picture, but spoil the real picture, put up the photo with different ISO, aperture and shutter speed, then you can see the different settings have different effects, and we can give you our view  ;D.

Just my 2 cents... ;D

Agreed, but does resizing and cropping counts? hehe...

Resizing dont count, but cropping, yes...Human portrait shooting is the hardest (according to the master). Normally they advise to start with plant, flowers, cause those are always there, and you can re-visit again and again to try different settings. Initially it is tough like they tell you 100, 120...F4.0, F2.0...then 100, 800...all the alien numbers to me, even until now  ;D

Try the Melbourne scenery in the town, Great Ocean Road, or Philip Island (but those little penguins are hard to take a good shoot), always move  :Scolding:...

Just my 3 cents of word... ;D

Yes, you are right, not at the beach, but when they move to the ranch along the path, but definitely no flash, cause they will puke, and wasted all the food in the stomach, just follow the instructions. Another place to shoot, near the cliff, another viewing deck

just my 4 cents... ;D
