A watch worthy of grail status.
Wanted one but not hardworking enough to hunt and authenticate.

Tyler: you know your GMT well.....yes, its a 16750...Some might not see this as true vintage being a 5 series...
Plenty of 1675 in the wild..with nicer patina..but I didnt had the guts to go for a 4 series....

Hanz: yeah, sometimes i still slap myself and ask why didnt i get a worry free 16710 or even preowned GMt2c instead?

darren+ndtaan: thanks for the compliments!

Hehehe, it's not just a 16750. This is a rather rare sample.

Congratulations again. Wear it in good health

Generally, the 16750 can be divided into matt dial and glossy dial..
Mine is the matt, which is more rare...even among these dials, there are small variations marked by minor detail differences...

If not mistaken, all 16750 are t-dials..except for service replacement dials...

Interesting watch, Benrus DTU-2A/P? If you have the time, can you check if the markings below the 6 o'clock marker is '2155 Swiss 6015'. Additionally I believe the sweep seconds hand may not be correct for the watch.

You've got sharp eyes, Harken. Yes, it's a Gallet. Guess nothing escapes your attention when it comes to vintage.  The one-piece case is stamped "Gallet & Cie, Swiss" on the inside. Likewise for the movement. The second hand has snapped at where it arcs downwards.

Interesting. Never seen a Gallet & Co in this design. If you don't mind, what are the other markings on the case back? Also what is the size of the watch? Thanks.
