"Original" watch
« on: September 09, 2018, 03:57:47 PM »
Hi MWF sifus,

When buying vintage/2nd watch, the word "original" is used a lot and is considered an important quality of the watch. This include original dial, hands, glass. "Unpolished" is also another desired quality.

So im wondering if i go to the service center (proper center e.g. RSC) and they are going  to replace the crown, tube and also do polishing. Does this actually tarnish the value of your watch?

If i asked them to not replace and not change any parts, would they still service? But i also find it silly becuz ill pay the same...

Any sifus would like to share thier experience in servicing watch and making sure its "original"? Or another simple question is would service center polishing and crown and tube replacing impact value of my watch?
