How does late comer Aruz delays Rush sales?
« on: February 26, 2019, 07:58:20 AM »
Both Toyota Rush & Perodua Aruz are rebadged version of Daihatsu Sirion. Yet......

Toyota Rush which had announced way ahead of Perodua Aruz in Malaysia, yet the former sales launch was stucked, so much so that Toyota has stopped taking bookings. Anyone knows what's going on behind the scenes?  ;)

Interested because these are the sub 100K mini SUV, which has pre-collision systems applicable between 4-80kph, suitable for children who have newly acquired driver's licence. Myvi is another option to consider, but, its pre-collision systems applicable at much slower speed between 4-30kph only.

Other newcomer to consider is the upcoming Proton X50, but, don't know what is its likely price tag

Corrections:

Daihatsu Terios = Toyota Rush & Perodua Aruz
Daihatsu Sirion = Perodua Myvi

They would surely perform poorly due to the Aruz being so close in terms of feature to the Toyota Rush

Aruz is exactly the same car as Rush, with all the ABCs, minus 360 Side Cameras, Blind Spot Monitors & dashboard leatherette. These Cameras & BPM can be retrospectively fitted <3k; leatherette is an unnecessary luxury in B segment mini SUV.

Toyota SA said it hasn't been granted release permission by the relevant authorities?!

I will be expecting to buy the Aruz during the next available promotion
