Are there any SPring drive owners here ? Would like to know your experience with this technology. How durable and accurate is it? Plus can a spring drive watch be serviced in Malaysia ?

I have a GS SBGA031 Spring Drive titanium diver.

Can go for 2 weeks without losing or gaining a second (I didn't bother to check beyond 2 weeks). Mine hasn't been serviced yet, but was informed that it has to be serviced in Japan.

How long have you had it?

I have 5 spring drive powered watches. The oldest has been with me for 7 years. No degradation in performance and yet to be serviced. Currently the only service centre is in Japan.

Thank you all for your replies ! Very helpful. Seems like spring drive is pretty durable. Can I assume that even if it needs to go to japan for servicing that Seiko Malaysia will handle the process for spring drive owners ? I am actually eyeing the SBDB013. Anyone has any user experience with it ?

Thong Sia Malaysia will handle everything - just need to pay the cost of servicing  :)
