Hi guys, when you selling your own watch. Which payment method you prefer?
Online transfer easiest, but banks will have daily transfer limit capped?
Bank drafts are reliable (but can people can fabricate documents?)
Cheque (but concern in bounce cheque issue)
Any other method you prefer other than cash/credit cards?
-
COD is best. This way nobody can dispute about watch condition or payment, etc.

Of course cash is the best, but if your watches worth well over five figure then better instant transfer for safety purpose. Instant transfer allow up to 2xk if im not wrong, choose a place that u know its safe and crowded, beware of robbing, coz it happened on some of my watch dealer friends.
-
I prefer cash or instant transfer. Do you guys issue the personal receipt to the buyer? Since the watches have the serial number , and SC will registered them under the owner names at SC when we send for repair or service so I think issuing the recepit is important since the watch had already changed the owner and as a proof I'm not the owner of that watch anymore.

Seems like many prefer cash.. I'm supirised.
Problem with cash is don't feel secure when you carry them on the street. Any seller encountered counterfeit cases before?
So the best way to deal is still online transfer. If amount is not small.. suggest to do like this as banks have set the daily transfer limit.
Bank A = transfer 25k
Bank B = transfer 25k
Bank C = transfer 25k
-
It's all relative ... to some, 10k is a lot to carry around .. and to others, 100k is norm.
But if you're the seller, bank transfer is advantageous to you since you only release your watch (cod or mail etc) after you're satisfied the $$ is in.
-
I'd always prefer cash but then again it depends on how bulky the cash is. If it's way too bulky, I'd prefer transferring through the bank!
-
I've bought and sold few watches via online meet.
I always asked for cash or instant bank transfer.
So far all the buyers knows and they paid me via IBG (below 30k)
Beware those who says they have an overseas account, or they will pass the phone to their banker etc...
Most likely a scam.

Would prefer to do it online instant transfer, might need few transactions in various banks for huge amount.
For cash deal, recommend to do it inside of the bank on the spot if everything is in order. Otherwise, it doesn't safe to count big amount of cash in public anyway.
-
Below 10k COD
Above 10k only instant transfer

I sold a watch for 25k and the buyer paid me cash. After inspecting the watch and all is good we went into my car and I counted the money with the doors locked ofcourse.

I still prefer cod. Is fair to both.
-
If cod with cash won't worry about fake notes?
-
Lol. Online transfer then.
-
Haha ya i prefer online transfer with instant transfer mode la 100% safe i guess
-

-
I prefer COD and perform an instant transfer on the spot.
Do not forget to verify the name of the person who made the transfer. A friend got into trouble as the buyer scammed someone else to perform the transfer to the seller (my friend)
-
COD is the best
-
online instant transfer is convenience and safe.
-
Instant transfer

Online transfer is easiest.
-
Definitely online transfer

I will suggest you just do the COD at the bank
-
Usually COD and find somewhere close to your bank to instantly bank in before completing the transaction. That way both parties are sort of "safe"
-
I prefer cod, and need to meet at crowd place
-
Last time when I sold my Suunto D6i, I suggested the buyer to meet at day time. Payment wise either bank transfer or COD.
-
COD and online transfer there & then. Safest and secured.

definitely COD with Online Instant transfer!!
if cash i worry received fake notes.
** if the amount very huge, then meet at the bank lor. got 1 more security to jaga lagi!!hahahah
-
Definitely COD and if the transaction is huge amount then better meet at bank
-
I think instant transfer is more suitable, no need to worry about carrying too much cash. Cash On Delivery is good, but make sure the money is not a fake money.
-
Yep that's the reason to meet in bank to avoid fake notes.
-
Meet up and then instant transfer.

COD or online instant transfer if amount is huge in a crowded place.
-
instant transfer or cash deal at somewhere safe.
-
Prefer to COD and online instant transfer. Bring along a mate just in case or head to somewhere with a crowd.
-
But if cash though, my wife have been conned with fake money :(

COD or Paypal for international transactions.
-
Prefer COD if it's convenient for both buyer and seller. If not, online bank transfer and send via post is the most convenient way.
-
1. Best to meet with each other, and just QR / Instant transfer via app. Just need phone number and can Duit Now also.
2. Will try to avoid cash at best, very dangerous to travel around (to both seller and also buyer)
3. Meet at public area.
-
the recent one is using the alipay, now is kind of easy, with wechat pay, ali pay and online transfer, easy, no need to carry so much cash, cash also not safe, who know any fake money in between
-
Just bought one and using instant transfer. Safe and straightforward. Not big amount though.
If more than 30k, perhaps will have the trouble to do bank transfer.
-
I will prefer COD in the bank, safer and you can immediately deposit the cash into your bank account (to avoid receiving fake notes).
I tried instant transfer too. Had to do it a few times due to transfer limit and sometimes transaction error might happen.
-
below 30k, instant bank tt, above 30k, 50% cash - 50% instant transfer
-
more than 10K better ask for instant bank transfer.... don't ask for cash...
-
must meet F2F for all deals!!!
below 30k - instant internet transfer
above 30k - meet at bank
-
Online instant transfer would be safer.. smaller amount I don’t mind cash money upon delivery.
-

I don't have experience with these. Is it universal the bank limit is 25k a day?

cod or instant transfer

that's just the limit on which your transaction will be flagged by BNM. nothing to worry if you declare all your income :D
-
Online transfer.
-
Sell and purchase before. Tt is the best method. Try to chat and just monitor the facial expression. Ppl with something to hide will have some weird facial expression and try to avoid eye contact with you.

if it's 100k, then a lot easy. just a click then transfer is immediate. buyer can have the watch the next second.
