Voted for Rolex but must say that now is a good time to buy Panerai especially from grey market dealers. Price are at a low.

Not looking into resale value & investment, I think Pam is quite interesting ! (Im a huge fan of Rads)

Rolex for sure. Iconic and holds value. I used to like PAM, but getting too common. I agree with Cocas, the trend of big bulky watches seems to be waning.

Rolex for me. Any of the sports model will do, it's everlasting. PAM seems a tad bit much for my personal taste. Both are great choices nonetheless. But it still ultimately depends on which u prefer.

From a pure enthusiast's perspective, Panerai has been iterating the same watch design without much visible innovation. Iconic and easy watch-spotting though due to the over-sized pillow-case design is a plus. However, as per some of the fellow forumers here, the oversized watch case trend is now moving more towards vintage smaller designs, and Panerai offers no real strong alternative to be in line with the entire industry (and buyer) trend.

I think Rolex has already proven time and time again to be an absolute classic with near unbeatable brand equity. Personally I'd vote Rolex.

rolex is a better choice from either design or value to last. but PAM has it advantage if u like bulky big watch

Oh come on....there are lots of swiss watch maker brand around with great selection eg: Panerai,IWC,Zenith,Omega,Blancpain,AP & etc.... more special besides than conventional/traditional Rolex.....Am talking as point of view real enthusiast/collector that buy/choose follow own heart not from brain or follow others/market hype .....Not those concern on earn money flipper from watches....
