116610LN without box and paper value
« on: June 17, 2018, 08:23:22 AM »
I am about to pull the trigger on a 116610LN ca2013 without box and paper at rm31,000. Just wanted to ask the experts here if this is a reasonable value?

Personally I wouldn't. Go do a search on Mudah or some of the watch dealers and you'll be able to decide better.

You should negotiate for a better price since the 2013 piece that you are getting is a non-boxed set and without warranty. I flip quite a few 116610LN from my collection from time to time, and this 2016 LNIB piece with full boxed set and warranty, was let go at RM33k. You could refer to my advert @ https://www.malaysiawatchforum.com/index.php?topic=19662.0 . Get a good piece at a good price, and you could be looking at capital appreciation over some time; while enjoying the watch at the same time.

Some grey resellers have advertised the 2018 116610LN between RM40k - RM42k. We can't post commercial links here but Google around and you would see.

No worries, mate. Swing by my blog and check some of those real atrocious pricing as seem from overseas' shops. Over at Japan, 2018 BNIB Hulk was doing at RM62k (gasp!), prior to the 8% VAT refund. Suddenly, the local premium seems cheap compared to the type of premium that they were charging over there.

I personally will not get a watch without box and paper. Too risky.

Complete box and set will be best, for peace of mind. And also fetch better price in future just in case want to sell off for next purchase  ;D

I could understand if it was a vintage piece without papers, but 116610 being a relatively new model should come with the whole boxed set. You won't regret having this classic piece to start off your collection

For me personally, I think getting a watch without box and paper is not too risky. Because you can send to authentic shop for service. And they will provide you a resit or paper for the service. It actually can be prove that your watch is authentic. Because shop only service authentic watches. And if you have a fake watch, u won’t service your watch in authentic shop

not worth the risk. box and papers are part of the experience of ownership too
