Got a drybox over the weekend.
Saw in the manual that 40%-50% humidity best to store the camera but for batt is 30%-40%.
As usually we take out the batt while not using, will setting the box at 43% do harm to the batt in any other way?

Set mine to 44 so far almost half a year no problem ;)

I usually leave the battery in the camera inside the drybox - keep forgetting to take it out but so far no problem whatsoever. The rest of the batteries (extra, flash, etc) are not stored in the drybox.
I also keep all my watches inside the drybox...

I have the batt in the camera... i actually regretted having a small (mid size) dry box...i should have go for the larger one... now not much space after few camera and a lot of accessories :D
bigger the better i guess..

How many liter box you bought Scott?
I got a 38L, at the same time with that can restrict myself not too buy too much haha...

Too much is never enough :)
Mine is set to 41. Anything "too dry" (35 and below?) will cause a buildup of electrostatic charge, which may eventually led to explosions...

Don't know the L but it's the medium one.. hahah... should go for the bigger size ;)

Right now i running on 1 lens and not even have tripod and flash yet.

Soon..Bro...after you addict to night shot...that is where the tripod and flash will come into picture, then different lens, then different bags for different purpose and etc.... :Laughing_on_floor:

Haha so far i have been resisting temptation pretty well.
Maybe the kinda stuff i like to shoot doesnt involve all that.

Just to share. I had mine Aipo drybox for a few years now. I put all my camera body, lenses, watches, batteries and certificates. No problem with it set at 43-45. It is one of the most useful investment I have ever purchased that I have bought to protect my other investments.
Frankly, I know a lot of people keep their watches in a safe inside a wall but they do not know the damage it caused due to the humidity between the walls that sips into the safe. I have a watch repairer who told me that his customer bought a Rolex to him that was kept in a safe for 7 years and discovered all the parts were warped or rusty because he hid it in a safe. :Startled:

Tripod & flash can borrow.
I remember I have 3 tripods many moons ago - small & flimsy for PNS, medium and a robust-built for mountain climbing. I gave one away, sold one & is keeping the medium one in the store.
