Servicing/restoring an old cheap watch
« on: March 01, 2018, 03:34:28 PM »
Hey all,

Woah didn't know there's such a forum for watch enthusiasts. Thanks in advance for all your sharing.

I have an old cheap watch, Alba brand, given by my father, now paint chipped and rusted. Thinking of sending to shop to restore it a bit, change the battery and strap, and give back to my father, but not sure what kinda cost am I looking at...

Any idea and recommendations? It's not like it's a super nice watch or super sentimental value, but it's got some memories la, not sure whether to keep or throw the watch.

Thanks in advance!
