KK Mini GTG
« on: April 10, 2011, 08:23:00 PM »
Went to Kota Kinabalu for business trip and had chance to have a short meet up with hanz079.
Nothing much, just sipping coffee, talk watches.
Nice food, friendly people, good company

hanz's Zeith EP HW and Damasko DC67, my Seiko Orange Monster

DC67 is with Sinn rubber strap, very well fit and comfy

Fantastic build and double AR coating, hanz just received it that day  :D

EP manual wind chrono, a classic movement

After being active here a couple of months... I was nice to finally meet someone after seeing how many bigger GTG and grand opening events that I missed being in KK...
Timing was perfect as I have just received the Damasko and my Sinn replacement straps on the same day.
Got it sent to the office to prevent my other half frm making noise and sneaking it into the watchbox later that night.
I was asking around over at WUS and found out the Sinn rubber strap fits perfect on the Damasko and knowing my rubber fetish, tried it out and true enough... it fits perfect.
About the Damasko... my initial plan was to get the basic DA37... wanted a lume dial watch, but figured out I want the model with the bezel that fits bigger, it was the DA47... then the price difference was about 1k frm without bezel to with bezel.  :-\
THEN... the DC57 chronograph without bezel is just a short jump of a few hundred away... hmmmm... tough one as I want a model with the bezel... so I jump up again to the DC67 chronograph with bezel and the end...  ;D
Funny that Damasko has only a few models in it's stables and already I'm having a hard time choosing...  :HammerHead:
Anyway, thanks to ck77 for meeting me and to anyone who is coming to KK for whatever reason, just drop me a line and I'd be more than happy to meet up and show you around.

The climb is end of this week and I will be wearing this Damasko with the chrono to time my climb...
Then I will show you guys how slow can you actually complete the 12km trail...  :Laughing_on_floor:

I will find time and take some more pics of the Damasko...
Currently wearing it with a bond nato.
Looks and feels good.
Not too big and not too small.

Looks like you guys had a great time.
I believe this is the first GTG for MWF members in East Malaysia.
Well done.
