Oris diver 65 or Tudor black bay 58?

Hi all,

I’m recently hooked on vintage style diver. Been short listed on oris diver 65 bronze bezel or Tudor bb58.
I have not seen the bb in person but look good on picture. But the oris is just a beauty.

 What do u guys think? Which should I go for?

Gotta be the BB58 for me. Probably the best watch in Tudor's current range.

Ya, but the long waiting list.... and it’s double the price.

Before this, I’m not a Tudor fan as I always find their wAtch too bulky, I tried on the bb chrono s&g that day, it too big for me.

Not too sure how the 58 fit on my hand, but the oris is fit nicely.

I kinda agree on the BB’s size presence. While at 40mm, the height of the case makes for a bulky watch. Try on the BB58 if you got the chance before making up your mind...the slimmer case is a huge difference. Personally, BB58 for me

I like the proportions of the BB58 on the paper as since it has been out I have never seen one in the flesh... Quite ridiculous for a brand like Tudor to have waitlist now.

But I do not like the fake patina and I am still waiting for other dial variations to be released.

The price difference is quite important between those two watches. Not exactly in the same category for me.

Sounds like you've tried the oris 65 and not the bb58. If you got to pick one, You got to try both on. I personally prefer the bb58 by the look.

Yes, I did tried on the Oris 65. Seem like I had to get my hand on the 58 to decide.

Another vote for BB58 - The gold numbers on the watch makes it look so vintage, it wears so well too. Very very loved by the watch community....

BB58 is 39mm, fit nicely on my small wrist. For oris 65, which size are you looking at? They have 40mm and 42mm

Yes, 39-40mm is my sweet spot.
 The bb58 look superb.

I'm looking at the 65 at 40mm.

I’ve also tried on my friend’s oris 65 42mm. What I can tell you is that both watch feels very different.

Oris 65 has slimmer case, while BB58 is more rugged (if compare with 65).

The Oris by far is a much good looking watch! But Tudor is a better watch! Tudor is owned by Rolex and the brand is expected to appreciate over time. I would go for Tudor.

You will have to decide which looks best on your wrist based on your own observation. I somehow prefer the low key dial of the oris on leather strap maybe because i prefer divers.

Apologies i meant i prefer the look of the oris 65 divers instead of the tudor sub lookalike. The oris has its own character.

Tudor 58 if you are able to get one. BB58 wears similar to vintage Subs and looks really understated and cool
