Affordable multinational threesome

Hope I don't get banned or censored for that "provocative" topic.

Here's some pics of my collection of 3 (hence threesome) divers comprising of Tag Heuer (Swiss), Orient (Japan) and Vostok (Russia) . The Orient and Vostok are affordables and IMHO are excellent for their in-house movement, history, design and price/value level. The Tag is a vintage 15 year old which was my 1st 'serious' swiss-it was affordable back then(just abt 1k) but as in all swiss brands has seen price increases every year and is no longer that affordable . Sorry if photos are not to good-I am still an amateur at this.

The Tag is 1 of my dream watch before since I was a kid.... just bought a 'pasar malam' Tag back then. Haha... :Laughing_on_floor:

The Mako is a tough watch. One of the best selling Orient in the world.

Hi kltime,
Great looking threesome. The Tag looks to be in pretty good condition for a 15 year old watch. Is it quartz?
First time I lay my eyes on the Vostok diver. How's the accuracy of the Vostok movement?
I like the Mako best, out of the three.

Thanks for sharing.

Danny

Yes-its a quartz. It is in good condition for a 15 yr old watch but the lumes on the hour/minutes hands has fallen off. Probably Tag service centre can replace them but just wondering whether any good watch repair shop can do it a relume job? Anybody has any experience pls share..

Vostok claims -10 to +30 seconds range for the watch (at 20 degrees Centigrade plus or minus 5). I don't really test for accuracy but from what I read and general experience it seems to be running ok.

I hv read Chris's DIY for re-luming but unfortunately my WIS-dom doesn't include all the DIY skills like opening the case, removing the hands,etc...etc.. ;D
My skills are rather limited to changing leather straps only :-[ . Chris-mayb u can hold DIY workshop for us DIY novices...

Another view of vostok blue scuba dude

Was in amcorp last sunday and found its brother...a black dial scuba dude. Not in the best condition but still...the chance to have a matching pair was too good a chance to pass up. Would post pics later.

kltime,

Still having that photo prob? If you're posting them off Photobucket, one possible reason for the small size is because you edit (such as cropping) the photo in Photobucket itself. I'd suggest that any edition is to be done to the original pix using any image editing software before uploading them to Photobucket. That way the pix will appear in the thread in its standard (bigger than the ones you posted) size.

Hope this helps. ;)
