Corum or Bell & Ross
« on: June 26, 2017, 07:31:55 PM »
Hi Guys,
Here I'm again with a delima in my life :(
I'm not able to decide between 2 short listed watches and would like to get your opinion based on
1. Brand Value,
2. Looks/Style
3. Resale

Should i go with
1. Bell & Ross 03-96 Grande Date
or
2. Corum Admiral Legend 42

Just love the look and feel of both watches and their unique design but some how can't nail which one to go for. (Unfortunately can only buy 1)

I would go for BR. It's more recognizable I guess

From a brand value and Resale criteria, it would be the Bell and Ross. For looks/style, i guess it is up to individual's taste. For me given both choices, I would buy Bell and Ross but maybe a BR 03-92 instead.

Thanks but why 03-92? Why not 93-96?

For the 3 criterion, all will point to B&R.

But personally I choose my watch base on personal preference. By looking at both watches here, I will go for Corum. I like the colorful dial.

definitely Corum any time over Bell & Ross.
Never mind the resale, Corum is in the same league as most of the high end watches.

Well now I'm confused. Some are saying Corum is lower than B&R as brand value you saying it's a higher end watch.

For resale purposes. The 03-92 are the hottest.

In terms of price and brand standing, there is no doubt that Corum is of a higher end. However, Corum does not seem to be getting the recognition from the buyers who would gravitate more towards Bell and Ross.

Adding my personal opinion here,
Note that I dont own any watch from any of the 2 brands.

1. Brand Value,

Corum - Based on my perception, Corum does feel more premium than B&R

2. Looks/Style

Corum - As both are unique in design, I would vote for Corum here as they are Rarer to sight and the colorful flags made it good for both formal and casual.

3. Resale

B&R of course..

Regards,
Dex

Go for the Corum. Looks cool. If you want to be different than the rest, this is something definitely rare in this part of the world.

I'd say B&R any day as objective as I can try to be (being a B&R fan its hard).

But what I feel you should get is not based on other people's opinion. Try all the watches on your wrist, which sings to you the most (most attractive to you), go for it. Not about branding or history whatsoever. Cause you'll be the one staring at it everyday when you're out with it.

1. Brand value

Brand value it's different from one place to another.
In Malaysia, B&R is definitely stronger

2. Look /  style

B&R is younger, trendy and cool
Military & instrument inspire...

this is also the reason why the brand going strong! Design design design !

3. Resale

It's actually depend on model
Comparing the 2 Models u considering then BR for sure

* brand value positioning, corum is till slightly higher with plenty of good watches!

If to choose between these two.

Hi there,

I would definitely go for the Corum too. Maybe coz I own an Admirals Cup 44 Black And White so I am a bit biased hehehe. But the Corum’s build quality is second to none I can tell you that much. And also it is less recognisable hence giving it a more incognito feeling. Just my opinion. Happy shopping.

Hi guys, this is my first post as member so bear with me! AFAIK, the Corum brand is under a bit of a distressed situation. It was bought over by a China watch group called Citychamp several years ago, but these guys have not succeeded in bringing fresh buyers. They apparently also had problems retaining key staff (including CEO) to stay on. The story is not over yet, whether Citychamp will sell this brand is not known yet.
