If you read the history, epos is entitled as an Artistry In Watchmaking... which is not their claims... but it is given to them.

But they are underrated... many people don't recognize the brand & some watch seller also not familiar with the brand. They made an amazing job decorated the movement. For movement concern... no problem with that.  There are using ETA. Hand decorated & I can say the finishing is mostly par with the other Swiss brand more than 10k.

It just a question whether you like it or not. If you like it, just buy it. For me? Yes. It is a good watch.

For me, i think epos watches are good too.
I agree that the finishing is better than alot of other watchmakers and their price point is really tempting.
If you see the watch that your friend selling suits you, and the price is right.
I would say go for it...

I already saw the 3369. I would say it is a very nice watch indeed. I love the way the presented the movement  :-*. They know how to show their movement very well.  The see through caseback is very large for us to see &  appreciate the beautiful movement. The 3369 is using Unitas 6498. Other model are using Unitas 6497 same as PAM is using.

when buying a watch, never expect it to appreciate in value at all. Buy it because you love it.

HI Ballaviator.

Epos watch is crap!!!! Expensive and not popular. Those uncle and aunty at pasar malam will think you wear some toy watch. DEsign wise, I can't stand their design. Ugly.....

So, dont buy it.

Psss.... what is your friend contact please.  I like to give him a call. Tell him cash ready.  :D

Hi, congratz on ur new acquisition. Saw some Epos (and fondled them of course) and i m impressed with the finishing for the price. Comparable even  to Tag which are costlier.

Regarding the ticking noise, i would like to share my experience with my Maurice Lacroix MP7048 (the skeleton dial with hand-engraved silver deco). When i first wore it, it makes so much ticks that i can even hear it when i were driving. Missus kept complaining of the ticks. I hav to keep it in the box to sleep in peace. Brought to the AD, they said its due to the natural design of the exposed movements (modified ETA, i think), ticks can't be avoided. So gotta live with it. Hope urs can be corrected coz its really annoying for an expensive watch.

Epos is a small swiss brand. being aggressive for the past few years, targeting new buyer into mechanical watches.
the price point reflecting their strategy.

i actually prefer those watches 5 yrs ago.... small production with vintage movement.
jumping hour, regulateur, 8 days hebdomas, etc

so back to this 3369,

1. eta 6497 / 6498 is same standard, unless upgraded
2. pam nvr use eta6497-1 as many other watches used, pam paid oem to upgrade the eta6497-1 to 21,600bph 6497-2 with
new bridges, rodhium plated, bridges and base plate decorated, swan neck regulator added, blue screw, cosc (marina), etc
hence do not simply compare said pam use the same
3. hand decorated movement for epos? i dont think so at all, so many brand buying this skeletonised eta 6497/98 -1, all machine works to me and pure simple work. real skelontonize and hand engrave movement - pls google Benzinger
4. for the price, i do think Epos did a good job.

end of the day, there is no miracle in the watch industry. i dont see a cheaper swiss watch get expensive swiss watch quality so far.... (unless you are not paying the shop price)

Affordable complication if you were compared with JLC and the like.

underrated brand with limited marketing budget since it is independent not like swatch group....

they have a boutique in Fahrenheit 88 together with Titoni because  they are under same distributor, there would have a full collection of watches if you are looking at a new piece and not able to find in AD.

EPOS is pronounced as AIR-pos in swiss.

i did have this model before, great design with reliable eta movement, but very low resale value.

Epos have long watch making history, the praise of artistry in watchmaking is earned, not bought. They are just under rated, not as popular because no hefty marketing activity. Congratulations on your acquisition, wear it with health!

always mixed up EPOS and EDOX .... i think they are the few independent (small) watch
maker like Maurice lacroix, Fortis, Titoni, Frederic constant...

i like their Pilot and skeleton collections ....
