B uhr (beobachtungsuhr) watches

One of the most famous german designed watch is the B uhr watches

The so call observation watch for the pilot during WWII

Manufactured by

IWC
Lange
Laco
Stowa
Wempe

A or B dial, onion or diamond crown.... Still many favorite!
Homage to vintage or modern interpretation
High end or entry level
It's still selling well

Stowa, Laco  still selling their pilot watch with similar design
Wempe Iwc selling modern design

Many other brand from Germany is selling this design

Pls share with me ur story, experience and collection of b uhr desgin watches

Not seen a real vintage piece of 55mm b uhr, pls share if u hv one

Hi Chris
I have a Stowa Flieger B and an IWC Mark XVI Spitfire UTC in my collection.  The Stowa comes with an onion crown and classic style strap. I have to endure the 'normal' 3 month waiting period for the watch to arrive from Stowa but it was worth the wait. The watch is well built and the blued outline of the minute and hour hands are simply beautiful.

The IWC is a more recent acquisition. I quite like the smaller size of the Mark XVI as compared to the bigger size of the more recent offerings from IWC.
