Rolex servicing/polishing
« on: February 08, 2020, 01:55:33 PM »
Been meaning to ask, is sending it through the AD any more expensive than personally showing up at Menards dion? Also, how much does polishing only cost these days? Have  a datejust2 in need of some work...

Don't think it will actually cost more if you ask the AD to send but will be slower for sure.

I think you can’t just do polishing, you need full service to get the polish.

I see... I thought it was before. At least when I got my watch 5 years back, they mentioned about polishing or paying Abit more to get full service. Haha  thanks for the feedback. Where does everyone get their watch polished if not needing a full service?

No one would really dare to recommend as no one wants to be blamed if you have issues later. Best to send back to manufacturer if you have an expensive piece or want complete peace of mind.

For normal steel models, a full service and polish should be under RM3k. Daytona, Sky Dweller and YM2 could be more. Why not drop in and ask?

This is good details. Thanks. I think DJ II might be cheaper due to the complexity?

Might be safest to go to the Rolex service centre directly...may even be cheaper in the long run....they do a good job with the polishing too when you service.....too many horror stories from third party service centres....probably depends on your luck...

Definitely will head back to the AD or rolex itself for this. Was wondering if anybody had any good experience outside. :)
