Koh Samui trip (Sep 09)

went to Koh Samui last month, and took some pics. post some to share share here.   :Cheers:


Day #1
using firefly airline, direct flight from Subang to Koh Samui.





Subang airport actually very 'sui' now, i think just newly renovated.

the ceiling fully covered by 'star'


Having breakfast at Starbucks


after breakfast, counter open and go check in


after check in, proceed to gate and wait for boarding


Berjaya Air


Firefly (ATR-72 500)


need to walk for boarding


view front my seat.


fly 16,000ft above sea level only




ya, at Koh Samui liao, ready for landing.


on the way to parking


on the way to immigration


after immigration, proceed to waiting area, your hotel, resort representative will wait you there.


Resort lobby. Chaba Cabana beach resort & spa.

living & dinning room


bathroom


after put luggage in room, start go out walk walk and see see.






7-express, 7-11's cousin.


after walk for a while, feel hungry, so went to this shop and try thai food.


duck curry, very nice!


thai salad, taste good.


After lunch, continue walk walk and see see






after long walk, thirsty, weather very hot so ordered fresh coconut


After that, go back hotel swimming + SINGHA thai beer.

weather is cloudy, good for walk around, but not good for take photos lo...
go to visit big buddha


good, no need take off my shoes  :lol:

what you can do up there? donate, take a stick, hit the bell.


After this, proceed to another temple










after this, return the car and go to swim!






after swim, hungry... need something to eat






after that.... SPA time  :lol:




Tonight have special offer for dinner, so go to try try

Day #4

Snorkeling trip!

waiting for depart


80% is angmo, 20% is thai, chinese, japanese on the boat. 


this boat taking someone go to koh phangang. (Koh phangang, famous with Full Moon Party, big rave party from night till morning during full moon)
dangerous for ladies, gonna have many color wolves.


Ok, Koh tao, 1st snorkeling spot






snorkeling time!




















after 30min, go for lunch then proceed to 2nd snorkeling spot, Koh Nangyuan. It's private Island, very nice place!






since it's private island, prepare to let ppl chop lor, see, take bath also need 50 baht.

heavy rain after 20min, no choice... having coffee in restaurant only...




Heavy rain while on the way back, the boat very bumpy. 

Dinner at resort, booked BBQ dinner for 2

time to go home!

after check-in, on the way to boarding gate


Gate#6, international flight only


Free wifi


And, free foods and drinks!


this is small bus take you from your plane to immigration and from boarding gate to your plane




pue ki lai liao


bye bye koh samui




Plan to go again. very fun. hehe

Wow, betahan already, after seeing so many nice photos... must go this island la. Been to Phuket 5 times but not Koh Samui.   :(

I second Chris to have GTG at Koh Samui. Right place to show off our diver watches.  ;D

I been there twice and love the place so much . My last visit was back in 2005 and would love to go back again given a chance. For those who plans to go there , do visit their ' open air ' hawker center where over 50 stalls serving wide varieties of authentic local food with super affordable price, i.e. patai costs RM1.50 +/- with prawns and etc. Don't miss it.

Flight to Koh Samui from Subang took around 2 hrs. Flight is comfort, depend on the weather i think.

Ya, why not we set a date to go there together? Like 3 to 5 days.. Family are welcome too ;) maybe sometimes next year April or may?
