Kota Kinabalu Session with Gapnap 26th Apr 2014
« on: April 28, 2014, 10:40:05 AM »
Gapnap aka Clement was in KK for a couple of days and we manage to meet up on a nice Saturday afternoon for lunch.
It was a good session where we shared alot of stories.
Shamtv2555 was with us as well.
After lunch, we proceeded to the one and only local AD but unfortunately nothing was on display as 1Borneo is suffering from power outage for the past 2 days according to the ppl there.
Yeah... In Sabah, power outages are normal.  ::)

Gapnap's AP and my 15400 side by side.
His is a 36mm model. After all the discussion, we are still unsure of the reference.
If anyone have any idea. Feel free to chip in.

36mm case size.
Very thin. Movement is with quickset date so it should be caliber 2225.
No box around the date window.

36mm on my wrist... too small for me.
Gapnap agrees...  ;D

Other watches in attendance included my Zenith Striking 10th and Shamtv2555's newly acquired Pelagos.

All in all, it was a good and enjoyable session.

Hanz, the 36mm is beautiful at your wrist. I am instantly in love. To me , size looks alright and with the hint of "posh-ness".   =)

36mm 14790?

I thought so too but apparently the 14790 only comes with black and white. No blue.
And the is a box in around the date window which this does not have.
Markers for the 14790 is also different.

I was told it was a 14790 when i bought it. Got it from a MWF merchant.
I research deeper and realised it might be something different.

Maybe a 14700 or 14100? But the 'automatic" is closer to the 6 o'clock than what most internet pics show.
