Poor man's Submariner
« on: February 12, 2009, 08:51:36 AM »
What do you guys think about this poor man's sub from Nauticfish?
It dives deeper than the Sub to 500m. I particularly like the look of the carbon dial. Click on the image for a larger view.

Here's a view of the original Rolex Sub date for comparison.

Danny, you mean this one? http://www.nauticfish.com/bild-500-carbon3.html or http://www.nauticfish.com/500M.html

In my opinion, the finishing, carbon dial and design looks good but the minute and second hand looks a bit short..maybe it's just in this photo...also, just to make sure the date is align properly to the window, it will be a big turn down if it's not.. it's around 2K after discount right?

Maybe you should go there (you know where i'm referring to :)) and try it on your wrist to decide :)

Btw, not sure if the new stock has arrive or not :)

Yenfoolun,
Wow. The Debaufre looks very attractive, but I'm a bit concerned about the 44mm size on my wrist. How much does it cost?

Scott,
The orange bezel looks cool also. More like a cross between the classic sub and the planet ocean.
The last time I checked both the black bezel and orange bezel models are still in stock.
I may just drop by tonight to tempt myself again.  ;D
