Signs of things to come: get more money or get out :(
« on: January 31, 2012, 03:23:56 PM »
 :'(

Things are not going to get any cheaper soon. With the price increase multiple time in a year, also does not dampen demands. Looks like we would have to search harder for bargains or give up completely.

VC have already sold out their entire 2012 production. No wonder the SA in Copenhagen told me they could not keep enough rose gold VCs on the shelf to satisfy the mainlander's demand. With such huge profit to be made, I foresee that manufacturers would go direct to the source of the money and open more boutiques and restrict discounts a'la Omega.

VC and omega are very poular in mainland. Lucky PP and AP are not that popular there is it due to lack of marketing or some other reason?

Came back from Beijing during CNY. Saw quite a few PP on both the wrist of the men and ladies in business class. As always other than Rolex, PP is also quite secretive about their production numbers and company details. Who knows, if they are in the same boat as VC now?

Always good to buy NOW...no matter what the brand.
Prices increases every year, out salary doesnt keep up with it.
