« on: March 28, 2020, 03:25:14 PM »
Hi guy ,

I'm vintage watch lover. i plan to sell my modern rolex and buy a vintage ( 5513 or 1675 ), my concern are how's the demand of vintage rolex over in malaysia ? easy to trade or sell with reasonable value like the modern one ? what is your view ?

As much as I appreciate a vintage watch, I would not sell my six digit for a four digit Rolex. But that is just me. Do what you want, and wear what you like. As for demand? There will always be a demand for a vintage Rolex. Question is...in what condition is your watch? Has there been parts replaced during a service? So many variables that could affect the final selling or buying price of a vintage watch. Which is why I am not going in that direction as I have no idea what I am looking at or if I am being scammed. I would just stick to modern watches.

Vintage Rolex market is a minefield. Buyer beware.

Personally, I would not choose an older watch over a newer one either. The upgraded watches are infinitely better.

I think unless you are a collector, if not why not go for a modern one? Makes more sense.

It's the same like the love at first sight. It's just beyond the modern and vintage.

By the way, watch hobby is just so irrational, like love.

After few modern watches,  is nice to have few more vintage watches especially Rolex T25.
After u have one, u will fall in love.
