Gotta agree that this watch is not worth it at all. I rather settle down with a Swatch which cost maybe half the price of DW?

Yes, fully agree. Somemore now Swatch offers lifetime free battery change service, totally free of charge, and anywhere worldwide, as long as you go to the official Swatch outlet.

i read the story about the DW watch... the founder actually met a stranger named DW in australia ..during his
travel.. and loves the looks of the stranger's rolex Sub on a Nato strap... which give him inspiration to
start a watch Brand named after the Stranger...with many NATO straps options... simple idea can turn into
a multi million watch empires !

Not sure how much a DW costs, I'd rather a Max Bill for the bauhaus look. Then again, I'm biased  ;D

It is a good watch for its price. But it isn't haute horology, that's for sure.

A Seiko would be much better...

The story is probably bullcrap. and I've bought DW from the same china factory that made it at 5usd a pop. so, it's not worth it lol
Each handmade watch is sold with part of the watchmakers soul. The effort to make the watch perfectly flawless like a gem, takes a lot of the watchmakers concentration. You pay for the "Loving attention" they give to each movement and watch.

Nope. I don't want to pay for a watch that most of it's cost comes from marketing expenses. I want to pay for a watch that the cost is from manufacturing and designing of the watch (movement, dial, hands...).

These are the biggest pile of horsesh*t ever. The one thing I will give them is their ability to market junk because people are buying into it.

My 21 year old son bought a DW recently. He said that many of his college friends are really attracted to the “premium feel” of the brand. Like them or not, they are doing a great marketing job to push a brand new brand that has no real edge. I gave my young man a quick crash course on horology and now he aspires to own a Rolex, so I’m not so sure whether educating him was a good idea.

The design is simple and elegant but I would go for a real watch manufacturer like Casio or Seiko instead of fashionable brand

DW has a great marketing team using the influence of popular social media kinda to make their brand look cool. but they're pretty silent these days, too many other DW like brands coming up

I would prefer Casio/Seiko over them. Poor quartz movement and still cost a hell price to pay.
