was being invited to Gucci's shoe making event in KLCC this thursday evening, wondering if any MWF members are going? I'll be going alone around 8pm to its boutique in KLCC

Bench grade Loake 1880 from Plal's.

Quite decent quality for the price but I still feel it is still a few shades off when compared to Allen Edmonds Strand at this price bracket.

But still way better than any popular mall brand shoes.

Breaking in these.
I love the style.
With white office light it seems more green than it is.
But in actual fact its a VERY dark shade of green where normally it looks black.

I don't think it's available in Malaysia.
Ordering online is super pricey.
They recently outsourced shipping to a 3rd party company and the cost of sending a shoe over to malaysia is equivalent to another pair of shoes.
Print out the sizing chart from the AE website and see if your feet fits the standard sizes.
If your foot width is D, then ebay is a good bet since they mostly have D width in all sizes.
If your feet is narrow or wide at E or EEE, then your only choice is to order from AE direct since they have the full range of sizes available.
Hope that helps.

Some ebay shops carry a wide variety.

Just wondering - am a shoe lover as well - if I noticed, these are "carpet-to-carpet" shoes right?

Do you actually go to the cobbler and do you add in rubber sole for your shoes? Would like to own these shoes, but wooden base soles, seems not suitable for me.
