MIYOTA 8215 STOPPED MOVING!!!
« on: January 29, 2019, 07:09:01 AM »
Hi guys. I recently decided to purchase some parts to assemble my own watch. I got a generic case from Ofrei and got a Miyota 8215 movement to fit into that case. Everything went well and the watch seemed to work well. Unfortunately, after I tightened down the screw down crown, the watch slowed down and stopped working within 5 sec. When I loosened the crown, the watch would move again. I have tried to remove and tighten the tolerances of the movement within the case to see if things would improve. To no avail unfortunately. I read somewhere that some earlier Rolex would stop when the stem was pushed up against the inner mechanisms when the crown spring tension was too high. Anybody experience this? Any feedback and help would be much appreciated!
