Title: 114060 vs my favourite 14060M
Post by: GhostInTheShell on November 30, 2016, 10:39:06 PM
Used to be 14060M fan boy because of its classic look.

Felt 114060 lugs looks fat and ugly, unbalanced with  20mm bracelet.

Now I really like my 114060 because:
- Better built robust case (still fit nice with smaller wrist) also looks and feel more expensive. Definitely an upgrade
- Maxi dail (always like 5512 maxi dail !!)
- Broader minute hand (I like everything on the 14060M except its thin minute hand, feels easy to get bored with it)
- Ceramic when you want more flashy and contemporary
- Parachrome Bleu (hard to come by in 14060M)
- 10 years recommended service interval!! (try to beat that)

Some imperfection (for me)
- Ceramic not as easy to dress down as aluminum
- Green lume looks more organic

Conclusion:
Plus points > Imperfections

Loved your honest opinion!!!
I'm right in trying to chose between 14060m and a 114060. I was a little scared the 114060 will wear large on the wrist and would feel much larger than the 14060m. In your experience, Is there a big difference in how they wear? Does the new sub take more wrist presence? And I hope you don't mind me asking: can you post some wrist shot? Please, it would help me a lot!!!!

Yeah, agree with you. I was comparing 116610 and 16610 before finally decided to go for the 116610. The bracelet on the 116610 is much better than the hollow ones on the 16610.

Just put on a Rubber B or Everest band, here you go!

- Green lume looks more organic
I prefer the new blue lume. Cool looking.  ;)

I like the new version more due to its built.

The 114060 wears larger than the 14060M, so if you are not asian and have larger wrist, it fits, wheareas the older versions look lost.

Five years of wear and its been through a motorbike crash, lost, diving and the genral abuse. A case polish is all that has been required.

it wears nicer than a DSSD did.

I wear 46mm cases usially, so recomended for larger wrists.

14060 is good for daily watch as its really light to wear compare to maxi case.
