hi hanz,
your intro to the article made me buy it last Sat...:)

still monitoring the accuracy...hopefully I get a good copy like my Seiko military which averages out at +30sec/week

Thanks jos... it was my article... hahaha
At least I got someone to join me.
It's a nice watch... current accuracy I get is +-20 seconds a week.
I am still playing around with resting positions as of now.
I know by laying the watch flat crystal up, the watch gains around 10 seconds a night.
Trying to find a position for losing seconds.
I guess it differs from watch to watch?

Date starts to creep over after 10pm.
And day will start to creep at around 11, and then another time at around 2am... since Jos is using the English day wheel, the first click will show roman day, and another click will show the English day.

hanz,
Yes, I've got to try out diff positions for every mechanical watch and they are mostly different in order to get the most accurate rate.
Face up is usually fastest. On the crown is usually slowest, on the 9pm side is in between but all depends on where the movement is rotated in the case.

The GS Spring Drive is however not affected at all in whichever position, as well as at different temperature and even when subjected to a hard shock like a very hard jolt to the wrist.
I've tried jolting my wrists very hard when I used to wear my Omegas including the Co-Axials to test its stability.
I noticed that the accuracy was indeed knocked off its regualr rate and time is off by a few seconds several hours later.

Wow you got a good copy of the Monster Dracula.... which was the best position to leave it overnight? Thanks...

ck77,
When I took the picture I had just got the watch and had not set the day or date yet..
I think only the time was set....

Well this is a very basic Seiko movement, only that it now hacks and is hand windable. PR is only 50 hrs.
The day/date changeover is also not impressive.

I buy these Seiko Monster or Military solely for backpack travels to dodgy places where day/date is useful. Its only < RM 700

why does that review mention there is a BLUE SAT?
the one here is not blue, my srp313 is not blue either :P

btw, mine loses -5 secs / day...tried 4 diff rest positions from dial up / down, crown up / down...they all also lose time at about -5 / day... ???

You're right bro.
Thanks for pointing out the mistake.
Will update the review.

It feels lighter compared to my other diver (ball engineer diver 2) but i fits nicely on my wrist.

The lume is really good , brighter than my ball. Just love the red "SUN". Found this nice gem in Johor Premium Outlet over the weekend & grab the last piece. Seems like this iteration of the monster is selling like hot cake.

The dial really look like vampire or shark tooth.

its 20mm.
but the flares on the bracelet and rubber strap start at 23 and 24mm respectively, thats why it looks bigger.
