Right now my next pair would be a Red Wing Hand Sewn Chukka.
Although a penny loafer would be good to have.
My daily life just does not give me the chance to wear these sweet shoes.

There is one official store inside Pertama Complex, forgot which floor.

Lots of models there besides those for the O&G sector.

^ nice
how does the Bexley compare to the Loake

Bexley Shoe is definitely better than the regular Loake series .
A better comparison is Loake 1880 (Made in England) vs Bexley Shoes (Made in Portugal I think)

Stitching , finishing & workmanship wise Bexley is better , but not by far .
Loake 1880s use better leather , therefore has a better "feel" to it . The "tick" sounds better too .
In terms of fit , Loake 1880 has much more to offer (F,E,G) ..Bexley Shoes only has one standard cut .

Price point ..its a RM500 shoe against a RM800 shoe .
If both shoes fits like glove and both are comfortable .
I would pick Bexley as beater and save up for a John Lobb for special events .

If Bexley doesn't fit , go for Loake 1880

below RM500 ? currently Sagara having sales and after conversion is around there

Most shoe snobs i know has the "If its not made in England (or at least Europe) i am not interested" attitude , ROFL .
Its like how some of us who are into watches are all "in house movement , if its ETA i am not interested" .

Well , if you are interested in Asian shoes . Check out Ed Et Al Singapore . They are going for about RM700 with almost C&J quality (read from reviews)

Too bad this kinda skin products kinda freak me out!
No go for me hehe.

I wonder, those loafers with non leather bottoms ie rubber etc, able to resole?

One big thing keeping me from buying a NICE pair loafers are the leather soles.
I always walk outside and you know Malaysia roads, all kinds of environment and rain....are the leather soles practical?

Or do i have to only wear them on special occasions?

I'm not a ShoeRistis, so pls allow silly questions from me.  :Praying:

Are Clarks & Dr. Marten English shoes as well? Or already become Buatan M'sia?

I particularly like Dr. Marten shoes due to its lasting rubber bottom sole. Have been wearing these 2 brands many years.

Thx,

You can get Rubber soles or Crepe soles if you are worried .
Or , just wear the leather soles until it is screwed and change them .
Sometimes , leather sole doesn't necessary mean its high end .

They are not . Its kinda sad that the best shoes we can find in a typical Msian shopping mall are - Clarks , Zara and florsheim.
Still , i think they are very overpriced , Clarks are selling RM450 for a Made in India Shoe . Check out Bexley or Herrings shoe .
