A Malaysia brand from Ming Thien, a well known photographer and watch enthusiast.
I quite like the blue dial.

My friend's husband has created a watch.

Check it out at www.ming.watch

The price is 4k ringgit - which I think is a good deal considering it uses a Sellita movement and Sapphire

I met with Ming about two weeks back and I have seen the watch in person (black dial); it is beautiful. That dial has quite some depth to it, and I even tough he did not have the blue dial on hand that night, I personally sway towards that colour. Built well, fantastic and original design, good choice of (easily swap-able) straps, and priced right. Future projects also looks really, really promising.

I'm inclined to think that the brand owner/investors are more influenced by Mr FP Journe. Looking at the size and shape of case, design of dial and hands, it does carry hints of journe's stylistic sense.

hope he dun mind my input, overall the watch is awesome, but the hand is really make the watch looks cheap, like plastic hand from 10 dollar clock, was hoping for a nicely polish in steel / white gold hand that makes it stands out the quality look

just my 2 cent

Prefer it to have a sweeping hand or small circle hand

i agree on this point. If the hands were polished, it will look great. The white hands stick out like a sore thumb.

According to the Ming watch write-up at other forums, the hour numeric markers and hands are fully coated with Superluminova material. That's why they look so "plastic" and pale white.

yup saw it from the hodinkee website only got to know, for me watch hand represent the watches standard, is a iconic if they going to make more watch in future. altho is full lume but the look itself is still lack of design and heritage

grade 5 titanium, nicely polish on the bezel, unique dial (hope it has more depth to bring out the light and shadow part), and the numbering is pretty cool

i dont mind have it without lume, is a dressy watch anyway :)

The lack of seconds hand makes it "dead". Feels liveless. Kudos to them though for going at it and i hope the next installment we will see a 40mm and more dynamic movement on the dial.
