Maurice Lacroix Anyone?
« on: February 16, 2017, 03:56:37 PM »
I'm in love for Maurice LES CLASSIQUES series after I saw my ex CEO wore that.
with the black leather strap, absolutely elegant, classic with formal office attire.

LES CLASSIQUES CHRONOGRAPHE PHASES DE LUNE

Anyone have insights for this watch? Worth to buy?

Not really worth it as second hand value depreciate a lot for this brand.

The value of ML is pretty soft in the market, you may propose an offer to your ex CEO if you are fine with an used piece. Otherwise, get a new one and you may get an attractive discount though.

If you buy a watch based on it's second hand value then you're not buying what you love. Also, not many watches retain their value well except Rolex and PP.

Buy the watch only if you like it and would love to wear it. My advice is, go try it out and see it and think about it for a week or so. At the end of the week, if you still haven't changed your mind then you'd know you want it.

Read up on a lot of watches around the same price range to see whether any other piece grabs your attention also.

However, the piece on top really looks nice. 41mm which is a good case size for modern or big hands. 30m WR which is good for bathing and normal splash. Full calendar with moonphase. ML154 movement based on a Valjoux 7751 which is a very good movement. The dial finishing is nice and it also comes with either strap or bracelet option.

I think it ticks a lot of boxes for an everyday watch. Elegant and modern. Can be dressed sportily as well as for more formal occasions.

The most important thing is... how the watch makes you feel when you wear it.

Not sure ML154 is annual calendar movement. But ML used to have annual watch priced at about usd7k retail price.

Not sure this watch retail price is how much?

Not sure ML154 is annual calendar movement.

Sorry, Cocas is right. It only has the full calendar. Amended to reflect.
