Title: Ghost Bazel

I came across this sentence 'ghost bazel' lately and was wondering whether this defect is bringing higher value to the watch?

The bezel is actually fading in colour. Some claim to be higher value. Maybe sifu here can enlighten. :)

From what I understand, its similar to 'tropical dial', 'spider dial' etc..

Yes they are defects but i guess the value in them resides in the fact that the defect unfolded in a very particular and specific yet unexpected manner, and this is due to many factors... i.e humidity, temperature..

Anyone else care to contribute to this thread? I'm curious to know as well haha

If it has aged naturally in an aesthetically pleasing manner, then yes it would fetch higher value generally, but it also depends on who is paying for the watch. Some like their vintage watches like new, some like them beautifully aged.

I know that ghost bezel is a thing for Rolex GMT. Is mainly used to describe the fading color of bezel. I could be wrong. Do correct me.
