Do you have a website we can browse? I do visit Spore sometime. Where is your shop? Will drop by the next time I am there.

Yeah. the website is www.watchwerkz.com.sg
I am not sure if I am allowed to post URLs here.

No shop at the moment, private viewing by appointment only. Can PM me or contact me when you are coming down. But as of today, only have a few 08 models, mainly Combat B1, M3 and last piece of M5 phantom dial.

Anxiously waiting for solid tungsten-carbide models, bullhead chronos, and many new models with new, better, brighter luminous pigment!

-- As of now, Watchwerkz only distributes Lum-Tec watches. Previously, was Stadlin-Swiss watches. But due to the economy, they face funding problems, and had to pause production temporarily.

-- How open is the Malaysia market to new brands anyway? Or do they go more for "resale" value? hence brands such as "Rolex", "Glashutte Original", "A Lange", "IWC"m "Omega" and "Patek" will probably be the popular ones here?

I think most watch collectors here will go for something with a resale value later. As for me I am new to this so I just buy whatever watch that I think its nice design wise and if it has some resale value in the future even better.

IMO, in general, initially, that what a new collector is thinking. After a while one will put resale value over aesthetic. I don't mean horribly ugly or complete despise for the one with better resale value. Unless,

  • Have lots of $$ waiting to be spent. No pun intended. Some ppl r just RICH.
  • For some, even though belonging to group (1), they feel "bad" for not giving their watches enough "watch" time. So, they decide to dispose some of their collection and find that the resale value is way too low and decide to keep the watch. Worse, nobody even wants the watch. In the end, he's stuck. Well, he could give it away, will he?

Thought that some of you may be interested to see how the dials look like on samples.

Many of these still need revised, lots of work to do refining.
Fonts need sharpened, color enhanced, texture changed, lume applied thicker/thinner, etc. The final dials will look much cleaner.

This is the M15 chronograph full lume dial

These are the C series automatic dials

The first straps came out of the mold this week and are looking HOT! They also fit the 44mm M cases very well even being 26mm. Super comfy! Very top quality strap. No dust/lint at ALL. Nice tread pattern on the backside. Here are some pics!

This is on the Bullhead45 A1, brushed SS case with GX MDV Lume.

well..yeah..
that's the whole idea..making it affordable..
but many are hoping for an auto chrono movement...
having an auto chrono movement == more $$$$$

especially, when some of them are hoping for a swiss chrono movement which alone already costs more than usd349! hahaha..

I guess Lum-Tec will first have to garner more interests and "profits" from these existing models first.

Already in 2010, there will be special limited edition of tungsten models housing swiss modified 2892-2 with gmt, power reserve and date, I think.

If you are in Malaysia, you can book one through me :)

hehehe.....
