yen,if i am not wrong, even if you change your rim and coil spring, your warranty will not void.My mum's myvi also using sport spring and bigger rim.but when i went back to claim the front disc caliper; quote by Eric.

Once you have changed  / modified your rims and coil spring, I guarantee your car warranty will render void. For Myvi - replacement of brake caliper assy come under so-called recall parts campaign, hence all Myvi are allowed to replace the brake caliper due to rattling noise - where the drive pin/s are worn.

Hope the above helps.

I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Thats why you keep your original parts if possible haha.
But warranty issues kinda depends on luck as well...thank GOD my Vios nothing happen at all during the 3yr warranty and hopefully for no problem for long time to come.

Chit chat with few uncle who all their live n all their family car are Toyota 2 days ago!
They are driving latest camry n wife driving estima n altis! Their opinion!
1. Old estima is not as gd as earlier version
2. Altis n camry suspension is disappointing after assembling work done locally!

thanks all... wasnt sure i made the right decision but i do not hv much option actually....

but after driving it for few hours yesterday.... i'm happy with the performance... enough power....

just little bumpy after changed to a bigger rim and thin tyre.... but definitely better grip.... especially come to cornering...

the aerokit make it look much better.... not so a bek afterall... but i still cant convince myself to love the front head light....

interior is spacious, alot of leg room... well fit.... solid feeling......

no time to drive today...

i still not use to the no gear feeling.... its kinda weird...but it is gd for my bb!

wow  :Startled: , so fast get your car already .... anyway congratulation...since you already choose this car , then don't feel regret already . just think positive lo.

it is the right decision to change your rim , at least your car now look a lot sportier with the new rim and OEM aerokit. Really nice with the white colour paint.

as i mention earlier , the CVT provide a smooth acceleration , 'no gear' changing feeling . when i first test drive also not use to it , but i think maybe after a while you should be ok already.

just went to test drive lancer gt last week . lancer also using CVT gearbox . acceleration quite good despite original 18" rim . only difference with sylphy is lancer have paddle shift . quite nice car to me...

anyway congratulation yen , at least you have your new car before chinese new year . 2 new thing this chinese new year . one is your bb and second is your car ...   :)

yeap.... happy for this cny...

bit regret on too sporty tyre.... very good grip... but bit too thin... so bit bumpy now... but superb steering feel....
i prefer more comfort drive because my bb is small...

and my bro is finding the correct size of centre conned for me....
even though without it i dont really feel the vibration....

i've check... the tyre spec is harder and well constructed.... so i was suggested reduce the air pressure to 200 kpa... which i did n its help bit....

and was told the original suspension for this car was design by renault... which is not soft also... thats mayb for road in france....
and its tough n guarantee last as long as your toyota..... just not cheap!

some long journey experience...
1. fuel saving definitely.... less than rm0.15 for ron95 from here to Kuantan through east coast highway... 130kph the rpm is 25000 only
2. cornering around karak is not a problem.... although the car still bit high.... the suspension is not as soft as i thought...
but the 17" sport rim + falken ziex 215/45 really help.... can easily drive 70-90kph in most corner with my small bb at the back sleeping....
3. driving towards kuantan along the poorly done east coast highway... is more bumpy comparing to a camry.... mayb that was due to tyres as well....
4. its quiet... the engine sound is very very low.... and the sound proof is quite well....
5. power.... its ok for 2litre car....
6. the cvt no gear still haunting me in cornering....but certainly gd for family car....

after servicing for 1000km i'll drive it more 'sportively' n see.....

yes.... i was thinking get fatter tyre next round.... now i actually pump with 190kpi only....

i do not want to sacrifice the comfort of my BB.....
n i do not like to avoid bump when i drive around....
n i dont actually need to push to limit while cornering....
