Seiko Cocktail Time SARB065
« on: February 15, 2014, 10:47:09 AM »
I was in Japan 2 weeks ago during the CNY break and when in Japan, I'll look out for G-Shocks coz they are almost always cheaper than in KL.

This time apart from getting a GA-1000 aviator G-Shock, I stumbled upon this beauty... A Japan only Seiko Cocktail Time SARB065. It runs on the 6r15 movement, and it comes in a 40mm size.

Seiko makes three versions of the "Cocktail Time", which are collaborations with the award winning bartender Mr. Ishigaki Shinobu. Each of the three designs are classified by flavour profile, like a drink. The SARB065 is the "Cool" flavour, with it's ice-blue sunburst dial.

I love the sunburst dial which reflects light in very dynamic ways. It looks silver in some angles and light blue in others. The domed Hardlex crystal face completes the dressy look of the watch.

The supplied deployment strap has a high sheen finish, padded black oiled leather with blue stitching. Leather was a stiff in the beginning but after a few hours of wearing it in, it has settled in pretty nicely.

It's a very simple watch and reasonably priced as well, it oozes class and the timeless design was what drew me towards it.

A very fantastic watch, I must say.

I tried this piece on a couple of times when I was in Osaka. Probably it was the strap that stopped me from buying it.  :Blue:
