Can we be a little more specific as to, what it is that you deem "low quality". And what is it about the phone that you do not like?

Eg. The screen is not smooth enough, or the batteries run out too quickly.

I've used iphone, HTC, Blackberry, Samsung and Xiaomi.

I can say that the built quality of iphone is top notch as compared to others.

I have used HTC One and several iPhones including current iPhone 6, I prefer iPhone as the phone can last longer (& I don't meant the battery life)

Software is good and user friendly
But I mean quality on phone
Easy to spoilt
Once drop crack screen
Before 4s is good
But after iPhone 5
Quality dropped

Every screen will crack if drop . Its just matter of luck how it drop . Some survived and some dead on first drop.

Have been using Samsung Note few gens for 'productivity' reasons. Also used i4 & i5 as spares b4. Gotta agree with what most ppl say about IOS being 'more stable'. Can't speak for all Androids in general but in terms of Samsung, u'd most often have 'hang problems' midway thru the apps or even on emails. Having said that, if u can live with the minor 'tergendala moments', Android definitely offers more choices & flexibility

really regret buying iphone 6. I have gone down to repair center to repair 4 times. Each time they get me a replacement set.
Same problem with the audio system, either radio sound too loud too soft, or speaker issue

IMHO, so far the best I used is Microsoft Mobile phones, running Windows Phone.

My first one was a Nokia Lumia 710 Windows Phone, and upgraded to a Microsoft Lumia 535. The upgrade is not because the Nokia was out of service, but because the 535 had a bigger screen. I used to 710 for close to 4 years with no problems at all. Furthermore, the reliability of both phones are good so far, dropped them a few times and got a few dings on the casing, but never had the screen crack at all.

Used my dad's Note 3 and uncle's Iphone 6 before, but to me nothing beats Windows phone.

I have been an Apple user since the days of the I4.

Using an I6 now and no issues.

I have a Xiomi Redminote 4 and it is good. Just that stability is an issue sometimes which the apple never has any issues.

To me when u want to buy smartphone, first find which operating system suitable to u. if u like customization and flexibility, try android. ios is simple and easy, but not quite flexible as android. i have little experience on windows, so cant comment much.

Next i think better not to buy the first few batches of any newly launched phone. minor/major bugs or issues could be found on these phones. the bugs/issues usually will be ironed out on the later batches.

Seeing that this thread is nearly two years old. Time for an update...I am still using the generation 1 iPhone6. I have had zero issues with it and it still works like it should. My windows laptop gave up on me and I finally relented and got a MacBook. So the home is now an apple friendly environment. Phone, Apple TV, iPad and MacBook. Zero issues with all of them. My six year old iPad is now being used by my son, also with zero issues and good battery life. So far, I'm happy with Apple.

Its not based on just the quality of the iPhone. But the simplicity is also taken accounted to really generalize the value worth of the phone itself.

Yeap. We hav to evaluate the phone from every single aspect of it. Thats y its important to do survey first the aspect of the phone before buying it. I once bought lenovo phone and regret it so much untill feel like someone put onions on my eyes everyday crying..

While the software is user-friendly, the phone's durability declined, especially post-iPhone 4s. iPhone 5 onwards, fragility increased, making screens prone to cracking with a single drop.
