The parts required to assemble this watch is available on-line. But I suspect the dials that are available are the ones with the date. The only issue is to get the correct movement. The movement should be the Omega caliber 565 (for the dial with date window).

Dial: OME-560-dial#3
Case: OME-055ST166.0324 (complete with crystal and crown)
Hands: HAN-4224 (hour and minute only)
Hands: HAN-4220 (sweep seconds only)

Mods please delete if not appropriate.

Basically the watch that you see in the picture was assemble by myself. I got my watchmaker to service the movement. He took the hands and case from the donor watch, which was an old Seamaster. I got the parts from Ofrei (but I notice the price has gone up) and assembled the watch. The dial and hands I got from another supplier as I wanted a non-date version. The case that is currently available is for the movement with the date complication as the caliber 565 is slightly thicker. I had to use a thicker movement holder as i am using the Omega caliber 552 (non-date). Once I completed the assembly, I got my watch maker to test the watch for water resistance and give it an overall check. So far so good.

So to answer your questions, I guess any watchmaker would be able to assemble the watch for you. As for the cost, I am sure you know the prices as listed in Ofrei. The question is the movement. You may need to buy a donor watch and cannibalise the movement. Just make sure you get the serial number of the movement around the time the SM300 was introduced (if that matters to you as mine is from before the SM300 was introduced).

Oh by the way, I suggest getting the winding stem as well as the donor movement winding stem may be short and you may need an extension stem.

I did draw up all the parts needed from ofrei once and estimated that the cost should be round 2k SGD for the project.

still thinking should i go with it but now with the low USD ... the thought is coming back

Basically I did the same thing watchco does, assemble the sm300 from original Omega parts. However I consider mine a homage as although the parts are all original Omega, the movement is not correct period for the SM300. Also the case is not correct for the non-date version. The dial and hands are correct for the non-date version. It was a fun project.

Of course the other option is get homage SM300 from Eddie or from Yao.

Actually the movement is not that difficult to get, just the asking price is out of this world and the prices keeps on going up and up. Sellers have wise-up and knows why buyers are buying old Seamaster.
