Good KL shopping neighbourhoods excluding Bukit Bintang
« on: August 05, 2017, 07:46:03 PM »
I’m an Australian who will be visiting KL next month. I’ll be staying in Bukit Bintang area as usual (it’s my 3rd brief visit to KL).

1. What are some KL shopping precincts that are NOT mega-malls and not near Bukit Bintang? Maximum 20mins travel on subway/30mins by taxi. I am seeking older shopping centres similar to the 1970s/1980s Pertama Complex and Ampang Shopping Centre.

2. Also seeking good walkable shopping neighbourhoods similar to Jalan Abdul Rahman? (the same road as Pertama and Sogo etc)

3. Are there specific KL neighbourhoods that feature concentrations of specific kinds of stores? I am specifically seeking independent mom and pop SPORTING GOODS stores and was wondering if there is any neighbourhood that has a cluster of these. Something like the ones found in Pertama.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations
