Higher tax on sugary items, but I don't think the luxury watches were included in there. The part that affected us would be more along the likes of :
"The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) to look into and investigate "extraordinary wealth" such as owning luxurious goods including jewellery, watches, handbags, luxury cars or real estates."
While we could argue that a couple of Rolex pieces here and there would not constitute as "extraordinary wealth", nonetheless if IRB starts looking at local AD sales proceeds and credit card invoices to analyse buyers, this could create unnecessary attention to this bobby of ours.
