Hello everyone ????


I've been struggling to decide between the SARX045 and SARX055. Would really appreciate some thoughts about them both.
The SARX045 costs roughly USD $550 and the SARX055 is about USD $1100; double the price. Same movement, just that the silver one is made of titanium.

I want the blue SARX045 because it looks like the Skyfall Aqua Terra (Ref. 231.10.42.21.03.001 which I really, really want, but can't find; PM me if you know where I can get one). The silver SARX055, upon closeup, the dial looks soo damn awesome. I think the silver face one on a dark brown leather strap would be stunning...

My concerns are that the SARX045 is kinda redundant to me because I already have a Frederique Constant slimline moonphase in blue and also a Seiko Cocktail Starlight. Besides, I'm yearning for the real deal, the Omega Aqua Terra Skyfall. On the other hand, my concern with the silver dial SARX055 is that the premium for the titanium is not worth double the price and that under normal daily wear, the dial won't look as stunning as the closeups make it seem.

What would you guys do?
Should I skip these?

Lately Seiko 5 new models hands and case finishing improve a lot and comparable to Presage models.

The dial colors quality especially are very identical nowadays.

Maybe you would like to check out Seiko 5 before consider getting these Presage.

To me I will rather save more then later go get the Grand Seiko.

Well , that's just my own opinion.

Hi Cocas, thanks for the reply.

The reason I'm attracted to the SARX045 is because the dial is very2 similar to the blue Aqua Terra. The silver one reminds me of a GS, which is why I like it too. These would make for very good daily watches, to use to the office everyday for desk diving. A GS would not be suitable for desk diving duties for me.

Do you know of any other similar watches to the above that's suitable for desk diving duties?

My heart wants the Aqua Terra... I'm just waiting to find a mint one and I'll snap it up in a heartbeat... It's more for the collection tho, as it won't be used to the office daily.
