Watches in Taiwan
« on: November 12, 2013, 04:55:10 PM »
Will be paying my first visit to Taiwan come December, more enlightened members of the forum please point out where the good spots are for watch buying in Taiwan (parents are currently in the market for a boy/mid-sized vintage Rolex and I'm looking for an original Rolex buckle for leather straps) thanks all.

Hi,

Coincidentally, I just went to Taiwan last week and only check out a few shops at Taipei 101. Frankly, watch prices are not cheaper than M'sia, even after deducting 5% VAT.

Unless there is a promotion with heavy discount or unique model u really going after, else, spend your monay in M'sia.  ;D

I don't think you can get any good deal from specific brands AD.

i think you need to look for those shop carry multiple brands? most important, not located in premium shopping mall. they need to pay high rent, you should get what i mean... LOL

As expected, then again I'm looking for something vintage anyway. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi Glenn. How was your trip to Taiwan? As limited as it can be but I hope you were able to find what you were looking for.
