Guess who is Rolex's biggest fan from the Communist world?
« on: February 28, 2009, 08:33:47 AM »
I was really surprised when I came across this pic of Fidel Castro, the father of the Cuban communist revolution wearing 2 rollies at the same time. That makes him Rolex fan No.1 amongst the commies. I wonder why Rolex never appointed him as a brand ambassador?  ;)

This Castro fella and his compatriot Che Guevara are both well known for their love of Rolex watches. However there is a lot of controversy concerning whether the watches on their wrists rightfully belonged to them.

I read somewhere that there are claims by Cuban migrants that these watches were taken from so called capitalist Cubans who were executed during the revolution. So these watches on their wrists may have a grisly story to tell.
