I'm not sure which part of KK i will be going (first time going there though), i will be attending a wedding dinner (gf's friends). I will be staying there from 25/9 to 2/10 if i remember correctly ;)

Love the phantom but it's too big for me  >:( (again)...I remember saw one in KL Pavilion but not sure if it's a 42mm or a 46mm version... can check out for you if you interested..

Hi

Went to Lam place 2 weeks ago. saw one U black, complete set takes around rm5k. Touch and feel it. Heavy though but solid like a submariner
Went again last Sunday, that piece gone with the wind.
By the way what's the market for a pre-owned piece?

DC
I am almost a recovered watchaholic, but last checked shows only 70% recovered. How?

Yeah, pretty sure. By the way, the U black takes RM5 for pre-owned.
NIB - RM8k.

Too bad that piece just gone with the wind.

Lam maybe bought it for MYR1.5K and sell it MYR5K or it consignment product to Lam. He maybe just earn few hundred... which to him (Lam), it's pretty good deal ;)

I think the 2nd hand price is fair (MYR5K) for this U1 black. Just my opinion. I still prefer the original U1.. Too many stealth-look-a-like (pvd, all black dial) watches now.

i also find myself prefer the original u1... thats why i sold my u black....
original design is very easy to read! readability is a must for divers....
other than that i also like the uboat steel original color!

When at Lam's place, I have actually ask him to take out the U black (PVD coating / Diamond crush coating ?) for my handling and feeling, (Normally do that at any watch shop). A group of us WIS was discussing about this watch where I did mentioned that this model uses 2824 movement and Lam agreed.
We did also bring out the possibility of what will happened if the coating were to chip off and Lam just shake his head.

Yes, It is a commission piece placed there by his regular customer. When we mentioned rm5k, which prompt Lam to negotiate. I was tempted too but hold onto my horses as I have just committed on a IWC ingenieur and a cartier Santos recently.

I am with Scott as I still prefer the normal sub steel.....U1/2.

Lam's place is at the Summit - USJ. We can drop by at his place and go yam-char on a Sat.

What say you.

hey, sinn tegsimented the bezel and buckle after pvd done... so it is very hard and scratch free like normal u1?
sinn u black still use 2824.... not only engraved on rotor but sinn is like damasko, harden the excape wheel to make it last longer....

yes iwc ingineur always on list.... pls look at my other thread... about the amg in central market...

yum char? what time lam open? if ealier i can also join... later got to go back seremban...
maybe breakfast then visit simon and ah lam in the morning....
