Tyler,

Those are not scratches. Watch is in great condition. Just lighting effects. But there are some spider webs on the dial though.

Another nice Zenith vintage..care to explain what A. Carelli Roma stands for?

May I suggest that you write a bit of background info abt every vintage picture you post up?
I'm sure many of us who are less informed on vintages would appreciate the historical background...

I haven't been logging in often last several weeks, so I wonder how many ADDITIONAL vintages you've actually added on to your suitcase full of vintages in the excellent RSGC gtg we last had... :shocked1:
Could be you be adding on a few pieces per month on average ?... :o

Personal taste and preferences evolve over years, hopefully not 1 full circle otherwise it means we haven't learnt a single thing.

WOW! Now that's a nice piece. In superb condition as well making it even more valuable on such a rare piece.

Lotsa envy here

Thanks for the kind words, Joseph n Tyler,

From my limited knowledge : A. Cairelli is the supplier to the Italian military.

More info here : http://forums.watchuseek.com/f27/zenith-cairelli-cp-2-modem-killer-406134.html.
And here if you can read French ..   http://forum.chronomania.net/board_entry.php?id=103772&page=0&order=last_answer&category=all#.U70dFkDH1v4

Mine is  military Issued to the AMI (Aeronautica Militare Italiana)(Italian Air Force) from the 1960's.
Wears big about 43mm bezel to bezel, sit real nice on the wrist. Just love that big round registers. It has the same Second Chrono hand design with Heuer Bund. Lugs have some resemblance to the Zenith A277.  Made around 2500pcs, Military only take in some (numbers unknown) the rest is sold to civilians. More pics soon....

Just added a few after the gtg... I am more eager to see Tyler's other collections....
